In the following we inform you in accordance with Article 13 GDPR on the processing of personal data in connection with the use of our website and on the rights that you have under the GDPR.

1 Summary

When you visit our website only to obtain information and access the public content of the website without giving any personal information, personal data will be processed only to a limited extent for the purposes of web analysis, audience measurement and IT security. If you create a user account for the customer login, we will process the data that you provide in this context.

2 Using the website without registration

2.1 Statistical purposes

We use Matomo, a software for the statistical analysis of access to our website. Matomo uses cookies. Cookies are text files which are stored by your browser on your terminal device and which enable the analysis of the use of this website by visitors on the website, for example what contents a visitor has accessed. Cookies are stored using an identification which is randomly generated; they do not make a person directly identifiable. The information obtained by using Matomo will not be associated with any personal data relating to a visitor of this website.

Matomo sets two cookies:

  • A so-called session cookie is used to collect your access to the content of the website during a browser session. This cookie will be erased as soon as you terminate your current browser session.
  • The second cookie is a so-called permanent cookie, which will be stored for thirteen months. It serves to recognise a visitor who visits our website repeatedly within that period. This enables us to determine the total number of individual visitors (unique users) and measure the audience of our website.

The information collected in the session cookie on the use of our website will be stored on our web server in Germany in Welserstraße 14, 51149 Köln, Germany. Your IP address will be anonymised immediately after being collected. We will store IP addresses together with the further data only in an anonymised way. Therefore any information we store on the use of our website cannot be associated with an identifiable person subsequently.

We will process the afore-mentioned information solely for statistical purposes in order to analyse your use of this website and to gain insight into the use of our website.

2.2 Cookie for storing consent

We set a cookie that stores whether or not you have given your consent with regard to web analysis. This cookie will be stored for one months. Thus you will not be prompted again to give your consent when you visit our website the next time.

3 Processing of personal data that you provide to us

We provide our customers with a customer login. In the user account the customer’s staff can store documents related to projects or access documents that we store there.

When you create a user account, we will collect your email address (which will serve as your login name) and the password chosen by you. By creating a user account you make a contract with us on the cost-free use of this user account.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

4 Recipients of personal data

We employ the following service providers which process data on our behalf (data processing in accordance with Article 28 GDPR):

We will only share data relating to you with third parties without your consent where one of the following applies:

  • where it is necessary to perform our contractual obligations; in this case, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • where it is necessary to pursue legitimate interests; our legitimate interests include in particular the exercise of legal claims; in this case, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • for compliance with a legal obligation, for example by providing information to an authority; in this case, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

5 Period for which personal data will be stored

Unless a specific period of storage is named in the above: we will store your data for as long as it is necessary for the relevant purpose.

6 Your rights

Where the respective legal requirements are met, you have the following rights:

  • You may at any time withdraw any consent that you have given (Article 7(3) GDPR).
  • You have the right to obtain information on what personal data relating to you we have store (Article 15 GDPR).
  • You have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16 GDPR).
  • You have the right to request the erasure (Article 17) or the restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR) of data which is no longer necessary. Where there is a legal obligation to retain data, e g for business correspondence according to commercial law and tax law, or another statutory exception, data will not be deleted, but the processing will be restricted.
  • You have the right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR), i e the right to receive the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit this data to another controller without hindrance from us; this may include the right to have such data transmitted directly to another controller where technically feasible.
